The Haliburton Forest Trail Race takes place in the privately owned Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. Participants experience the primal beauty found along the trails at Haliburton Forest, running through the heavily forested, hilly and lakes and streams filled area displaying nature at it’s best. The event offers a distance option for all level of runners, from 12K to 26K,  to  50K and 50M, all the way up to the signature event, the Haliburton Forest 100 Miler.

The Rainbow Trail Run is named after the trail being used at Earl Rowe,”Rainbow Run,” which is named for the rainbow trout migration that occurs each Spring. The course iss mostly double wide, some grass, some dirt and a tiny bit of pavement (when crossing over park roads) and bridge crossings over Earl Rowe Lake.
