The annual Grizzly Canmore Ultra Marathon and Relay is one of Canada’s largest and most popular ultra races. Trail runners come from near and far to tackle the 50km course solo or team up for the two- or five-person relays. This destination trail race offers challenging trails surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes.  

The Valley Harvest Full Marathon will take you on a  journey through several towns in the Annapolis Valley during the absolutely breathtaking autumn harvest. This awesome running event that takes place every Thanksgiving weekend and it includes a free Youth Run, a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, and Nova Scotia’s only Ultra Marathon!      

The County Marathon takes place in Ontario’s beautiful Prince Edward County. The event features a Boston Qualifying Full Marathon, a Half Marathon as well as 50K Ultra. All events are open to runners, walkers and wheeled athletes. The course has been described as, gently rolling but fast. Charity Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation    

The Beaver Flat 50 is the best worst thing you’ll do in September. The course is a hilly, hard-as-hell trail run at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park. The terrain is off-camber very narrow animal trail, lined with cacti, juniper bushes, rocks, and sand. Prepare for over 2300 meters of vertical gain across 50 kilometers; it will feel like hill repeats in the worst kind of way. If you are looking for a challenge this is the event for you.  

The Freaky Creeky 50 offers 4 distances options, 11K, 27K, 50K & 100K trail races through the beautiful Okanagan’s Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park. The routes travel through grassland dotted with ponderosa pine and groves of Douglas-fir, with km after km of single track trail. Expect some gnarly climbs, rolling terrain and a cross between technical and cruisey descents. The Haliburton Forest Trail Race takes place in the privately owned Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. Participants experience the primal beauty found along the trails at Haliburton Forest, running through the heavily forested, hilly and lakes and streams filled area displaying nature at it’s best. The event offers a distance option for all level of runners, from 12K to 26K,  to  50K and 50M, all the way up to the signature event, the Haliburton Forest 100 Miler.

The Whistler Alpine Meadows encompasses all of the wonder that Whistler and coastal British Columbia has to offer. Runners will be treated to expansive alpine meadows, blooming wildflowers, a suspension bridge crossing, and views out over a half-dozen backcountry lakes. Not to mention the 360 degree panoramic mountain views as far as the eye can see from atop Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Participants can choose between the ascent race, 25K, 50K, 100K, or the 100M challenge.

The Lost Soul Ultra Marathon takes place in Lethbridge, Alberta and offers a 100M, 100K, and 50K event options. This trail course runs through the river valley coulees on public and private land. Runners are not only challenged by the elements, but also the unrelenting hills, there are elevation changes of approximately 1,200 meters with 16 significant hills over the 54K lap.  

Taking place in ‘the outdoor recreation capital of Canada’ the Squamish 50 Trail Running Festival begins early on Saturday with the 50 mile (80K) race starting at the Squamish Oceanfront. Participants ascend some 3350m before descending to the finish at Pavilion Park. The Capes 100 is Atlantic Canada’s first 100 Mile trail race. Running atop of the highest cliffs on mainland Nova Scotia, and alongside the waters of world’s highest tides, this trail race is both inspiring and challenging. Choose between 100M, 100K, or 50K distance options, or sign up for the relay and run as part of a team. The course takes you along, Cape d’Or, Cape Spencer, Cape Chignecto.
