Presented by the Toronto Beaches Runners Club, the Tannenbaum 10K has become a popular end-of-year event in Toronto’s Beaches neighbourhood and supports a great local charity, Community Centre 55. The 10K route is flat and fast, running out-and-back along the Lakeshore/Martin Goodman Trail and into Tommy Thompson Park, affording scenic skyline views of the city’s downtown. Located entirely within Vancouver’s iconic Stanley Park, all courses take place on the famed Seawall providing panoramic views of the city, northern mountains and the Lion’s Gate Bridge. The Fat Ass Trail Run started 10 years ago with 23 people and has grown to over 700. The event is held on private property so there are limits to what, when and how things are marked, as well as, limiting the impact on the natural surroundings. Join in the fun of a nighttime run on a safe, secured course. The Night Lights Run is a flat, fast course organized by Somersault event series which offers a 5K, 10K, and Little Lights 1K. The Fall Classic is a popular Vancouver event to conclude the running season and a last chance to set a late season PB. The event takes place from the beautiful University of British Columbia and features a scenic out-and-back course with two loops for the half, along the west side of the campus with incredible views of the ocean and the seasonal fall foliage. The Beav Trail Race is named after the Beaver Dam Trail that runs through Hilton Falls Conservation Area. Hilton Falls is hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts and is known to have some of the best trails around. The course is primarily made up of fast, groomed trails with some short but tougher and more technical sections thrown into the mix.
