The Mississauga Marathon offers something for every runner, including its signature fast and net downhill marathon course which is ideal for setting a new personal best or qualifying for Boston. The Merrickville Heritage Classic was created to encourage people to get outside and get active through recreational running and to promote good health for all through physical activity. The event offers three distances, 2K, 5K, and 10K to provide a choice for all levels of runners. All races are certified by Athletics Canada.  

Part of the Circuit de course à pied du Grand Montréal/Greater Montreal Running Circuit, the event takes in the Saint-Laurent district of Montreal. The 5K and 10K races start from the Ateliers Municipaux and run as a figure eight double loop making it ideal for spectating. The course is flat and fast, well-marked. Following the race, participants enjoy healthy refreshments and food at the cafeteria.    

The Spring Fling Running Thing is an annual run along the Cataraqui Trail in Smiths Falls featuring a 2K, 5k, 10K and Half marathon. The Cat trail is an old rail way bed, wide enough to fit a full sized truck and is well groomed, the trail is actually likened to a cottage road without the potholes. The terrain has something to appeal to both Trail Runners and Road Runners.
