The series is intended to provide the running community organized, fun opportunities to move off the pavement and onto a trail. Katie’s Run for Epilepsy Research is a flat and fast trail run in beautiful cottage country. The goal of Katie’s Run is to raise funds for epilepsy research. The 10K and 5K course are an out and back along the Haliburton County Rail Trail, there is also a 2.5K family walk/run that is stroller, wheelchair and dog friendly. Test yourself on trails of Bruce Peninsula. The Pure Grit Trail Race is a mix terrain of mountain bike single track and wider open double track through rolling hills, about 2/3 is single track. The course is a loop of 7.5k. Proceeds from this event go to support Georgian Bay Nordic, a youth cross-country ski race team.
