The Haliburton Forest Trail Race takes place in the privately owned Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. Participants experience the primal beauty found along the trails at Haliburton Forest, running through the heavily forested, hilly and lakes and streams filled area displaying nature at it’s best. The event offers a distance option for all level of runners, from 12K to 26K,  to  50K and 50M, all the way up to the signature event, the Haliburton Forest 100 Miler.

The Fat Dog 120 Trail Race may be the most scenic ultra race in Canada. The challenging point to point race straddles 3 stunning provincial parks, and one recreational area in British Columbia’s Cascade Mountains. Expect stunning alpine views, meadows of wildflowers, a good mix of technical and non-technical trails, very little forest service road, a challenging profile, enthusiastic volunteers, and a lake at the end for soaking.    

The Fiddle 50, named after the venue, Fiddle Park, is an endurance challenge around a 1K loop in the park. Distance options vary between 25K to 100M. The course is a very flat, square loop, in fact, this may just be Canada’s flattest 100 miler! Don’t worry, you won’t have to count loops, and the  direction will change every hour so you don’t get dizzy. The Iron Legs Mountain Races are held near Bragg Creek in Kananaskis Country, and can be run either solo or as a relay team of 2 or 3 runners. All 3 distance options, 100K, 60K, or 50M, offer amazing views of the Canadian Rockies and fantastic single track that will challenge every runner. The Reckless Raven 50 is a Yukon ultramarathon trail race which can be undertaken solo or as a team of 2. Expect climbs, adventure, out of this world views, and fun aid stations. The event is designed to make you understand why the Yukon is “larger than life”. The race can be done as a solo runner or as 2 persons team, with an exchange close to the mid-point. Tenderfoot Boogie is a Sea to Sky Ultra from Squamish to Whistler. Multiple distance options are available, so there is something for everybody. These events are, for the most part, off-road, and at times can be challenging, but relatively easy as ultra races go. You must be physically and mentally prepared to encounter every possible terrain imaginable. Aid stations will be fully-loaded, but you cannot wholly depend on them, know your needs. **2020 event cancelled

The Prairie Inn Harriers Running Club present the Annual Harriers 2:18 Run Elk/Beaver Ultras. This fast and flat 10 kilometer trail circuit around Elk and Beaver Lakes is considered as one of the premiere races of its type in North America.  Runners complete 10 laps for the 100K division, 8+ laps for 50 Miles and 5 laps for 50K while walkers complete 4 laps for 40K.
