Predict your pace, win the race! Embark on an 8K journey along an undulating (a nice way of saying “hilly”) country gravel road, free from the distraction of watches, phones or any timing devices. Victory goes to the runner whose predicted time comes closes to their actual finish time, irrespective of when they cross the finish line.

Bear Mountain Trail Running Race features tough climbs, fast and flowy downhills, and no shortage of epic trails! The 8K route winds all the way up Bear Mountain, then flowing trails will take you back to the finish line. The 15K route climbs all the way up and around the backside of Bear Mountain before descending back around the mountain, making your way to the finish line. The 30K route is two laps of the 15K route.
The Fish Creek X/C is the final race of the Grand Prix season, held in one of Calgary’s most beloved natural areas — Fish Creek Provincial Park. The course winds through wooded trails, open meadows, and steep hills, with all the classic cross‑country challenges: snow, ice, mud, water crossings, and uneven footing. Spikes or cleats are strongly recommended.
The Weaselhead X/C race takes runners along the south shore of the Glenmore Reservoir and into the Weaselhead Flats, with a return on Jackrabbit Trail. In February, the course is a mix of snow‑covered paths, icy patches, and packed dirt, with bare trees and the occasional squirrel or hardy winter bird for company. Spikes or cleats are strongly recommended.
The Nose Hill X/C is the race that started it all — the very first event in what became the Calgary Roadrunners’ annual 10‑race Grand Prix cross‑country series. It remains a cornerstone of the Grand Prix series — combining tough hills, unpredictable winter footing, and a strong sense of community.
The Twelve Mile Coulee X/C race takes runners through one of Calgary’s most scenic natural areas, with trails winding along the benchlands and into the coulee. Expect classic cross-country conditions: snow, ice, mud, and rolling terrain. Spikes or cleats are strongly recommended.
The Wana Dash starts at Pinecliff Park and runs the scenic Culham Trail along side the credit river. The Rolley Coaster Loop Event is an 8 hour loop event. You can do one lap, go for 2 hours or 5 hours… you choose what distance and or time is best for you. You have 8 hours to complete as many laps as possible. You can walk, hike, or run through beautiful Rolley Lake Provincial Park’s rolling trails, mixed forests and a combination of wide dirt trails and single track trails. The Cambridge Mill Race is an out-and-back course along the Walter Bean trail, which is part of The Great Trail system. The surface is mainly hard-packed dirt and stone dust with a few asphalt sections. The turn-around point is on the paved bike path that runs alongside Blair Road. There will be a water station at the 4K mark. A post-race lunch is provided by The Cambridge Mill to registered participants, you must show your bib to get your meal.
The Howling Ghost Trail Race is a 8K, 16K, or 24K trail run through the beautiful Carolinian forest of Springwater at the Springwater Conservation Area. This race is perfect for runners of all abilities. The trails are mostly wide, groomed, and extremely runnable. Depending on your distance, you’ll run 1 loop, 2 loops, or 3 loops of the 8k course.
