Located on the shores of the gulf of the St. Lawrence, Grande-Digues hosts a popular 15K race and family-friendly 5K. This beautiful course follows the coast for the first half, with a challenging second half that includes some rolling hills. The fifth race of the Island Series, the Port Alberni Paper Chase 15K is hosted by the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce. The course is a pretty rural route starting from the Cherry Creek Community Centre and running through the trails through the McLean Mill Historic Site.
