Miramichi River Runners hosts a series of races throughout the year.
The Farmers Helping Farmers event is either a single loop course for the 5 Miler, or 2 loops for the 10 Miler. The route takes runners through in a large portion of the Rotary Friendship Park. Post race, participants can enjoy some food made by students in the culinary program at Three Oaks.
The Hampton 5 Miler is a family-friendly event that takes place late summer in Hampton, about 45 minutes from Saint John. This year the course will host the Provincial Championship 5 Miles. In ideal conditions, the course can be fast and provides a scenic tour of the surrounding areas. Post-race refreshments and awards follow. Fee(s) $10-40
The first “Gala Day” was held on September 2, 1945 in the town of Berwick. The event has expanded to a multi-day event, now called Gala Days. The festival attracts approximately 12,000 people annually to the beautiful town of Berwick in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. The Liverpool Privateer 5 Mile Road Race is a flat and fast race along the beautiful waterfront in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. The route takes you north through the community of Milton, across the bridge and around the Mersey River. Refreshments and awards to follow the race at the Legion Hall. Fee(s) $25-30
