Originally conceived to celebrate Scotland’s 800th Anniversary, Perth’s World Record Kilt Run is now an annual event and continues to be as popular as ever. The Kilt Run offers its traditional 5 miler race as well as a one-mile race. Fee(s) To be confirmed Charity  MS Society of Canada  

The Masich Mile takes place on the track at Masich Place Stadium.  This event is designed to draw entire families out for a bit of summer fun at the track.  It features an individual mile race, four laps and nine metres around the track, or a team relay, teams of four run a lap before passing the baton to the next member. The Squamish Days 8K course is an accurately measured fast, flat, out-and-back route with a paved shoulder, minimal traffic and is friendly to wheelchair athletes. There is also a Stroller and Team Division. The “Flashback Mile”, commemorates one of the first runs held in Squamish. This event is popular with kids, but there is also an open adult category – perfect for those just getting into running or those who prefer speed to distance. Post race includes draw prizes, awards…

The Islendingadarurinn 10 Mile Road Race is the flattest, fastest, point to point race course in Manitoba. Race day registration and the starting point will be in Winnipeg Beach. The course travels north along Hwy #9 to Gimli and finishes at the pavilion park. Fee(s) $20-25    

The Runners Soul Fifth Ave Mile is a run and festival in the heart of Lethbridge to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Runner’s Soul (Lethbridge’s specialty running store). Runners will enjoy a fast, flat route down Fifth Avenue South, finishing on the Civic Track. Plan to spend the day and invite your friends and family to the post race festivities at the Civic Track including food trucks and vendors. Fee(s) $20-25

A Canada Day tradition, Canada Day Limestone Mile is organized and supported by the Kingston Road Runners Association in support of its charitable causes. It’s four short races in one morning with team competition as well. The course for this classic race distance is two loops finishing in front of Boucher Park. Part of the Bread and Honey festival, the Streetsville Mile, down Main Street from Britannia and Queen to Church, is fast, flat, and furious and lined with a few thousand friends to witness and cheer you on. If you don’t finish in less than 12 minutes, no medal, no time, only a DNF and a polite request to step to the sidewalk. Fee(s) $25-30 Charity Down Syndrome Association of Peel

Profile Au rythme de nos foulees takes place on Mother’s Day and offers a family-friendly event which includes a half-marathon, 10K, 5K, 1M, as well as races for the kids. Courses are run as an out-and-back through rural countryside, complete with aid-stations, marshaling and post-race refreshments and amenities. Fee(s) $30-55 (Half); $20-32 (10K & 5K); $12-18 (1M)  

The Prediction Mile  is a great warm up the upcoming racing season – indoors! And, at whatever pace suits you best. The Event is fun concept, predict your time to run one mile on the track, and the runner who is closest to their prediction, wins! No timing devices allowed though!
