The Brickyard Beast is a 10k Walk/Run. This event is an out-and-back loop over paved roadway that passes through lush forest teeming with wildlife. The course also includes the gruelling hill known as “the Beast”, and those tough enough to finish will qualify for bragging rights as a Beast Slayer. Runners and spectators alike will enjoy the lighter features of this event, from the infamous Kid-Zone, to the post-run festivities including music, prizes and awards.

Since 1907, Dartmouth has been hosting this historic event as part of the Natal Day Festival that celebrates the history and traditions of Halifax-Dartmouth. It still maintains somewhat unusual 6 Mile (9.6K) and 2 Mile (3.2K) race distances which are run on a two mile loop showcasing the city’s scenic harbour and waterfront.
