All races feature a downhill “sprint-for-glory” finish along Oak Bay Ave.

The Servus Calgary Marathon Race Weekend is Canada’s longest running marathon and will be celebrating 60 years running in May 2024. The certified, Boston qualifying marathon course runs along the Bow River and showcases both the beauty of the city and Western hospitality through its volunteers. The race weekend offers a distance for every age and ability including: 1.2K Kids Race, 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, and 60K ultra.

First run in 1979, the Saskatchewan Marathon started as only a marathon, it has grown to include 2.2K, 5K, 10K,  and half-marathon distances, and the marathon is a Boston qualifier.  Throughout its history the Saskatchewan Marathon has made changes to its course and its calendar, but it always provides a flat, fast and scenic view of both the city of Saskatoon and the South Saskatchewan River.      

ANE Mile Road Race

The ANE Mile is an annual mile event hosted by the Athletics NorthEAST running club. This course has been designed to be fast and safe. The race begins beside the Bandstand on Quidi Vidi Lake and runs down the Boulevard to finish just past the bridge at the end of the Lake. It is net downhill, with no uphill sections, and only one gentle curve, so it should produce your best mile times.

MAD Dashers Run ~ Dash for Diabetes is a 5K/10K run or walk following the dyke trails along the scenic Fraser River. Custom made MAD Dashers Medal & Running Belt included participants registered by April 29th. A virtual option is also available. This is an event for runners, and walkers of all abilities.
