The Runway is a unique experience where participants have the opportunity to run two miles of tarmac at twilight. Warm up on the taxiway, and run on the tarmac of the Region of Waterloo International Airport in a fun, family friendly 2M/3.2K race. This is an incredible experience to get behind the scenes at the airport.

Since 1907, Dartmouth has been hosting this historic event as part of the Natal Day Festival that celebrates the history and traditions of Halifax-Dartmouth. It still maintains somewhat unusual 6 Mile (9.6K) and 2 Mile (3.2K) race distances which are run on a two mile loop showcasing the city’s scenic harbour and waterfront.
