Diamond Blackfan Anemia is a rare genetic blood disorder, characterized by severe chronic anemia due to complete or partial failure of the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. Brickyard Beast 10K Gabriola IslandThe Brickyard Beast is a 10k Walk/Run. This event is an out-and-back loop over paved roadway that passes through lush forest teeming with wildlife. The course also includes the gruelling hill known as “the Beast”, and those tough enough to finish will qualify for bragging rights as a Beast Slayer. Runners and spectators alike will enjoy the lighter features of this event, from the infamous Kid-Zone, to the post-run festivities including music, prizes and awards.
