Day of the Dead Race

The Day of the Dead Race is a 9K circuit with many experiences from race kit pick-up through to the finish. The out and back route will head east first, then loop back on the paved trail going deep into the Ashbridges Bay, finishing back at the Alfresco Picnic Shelter. Each distance group will follow a lead cyclist through a well-marked course. The Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) is a celebration and remembrance of the lives of those who are not with us anymore. The 9K route represents the journey through the 9 levels of the underworld in order to reach Mictlán, the realm.
