In 2016, a small group of trail runners met up in the early fall to run a few trails around Gros Morne National Park, together they came up with the idea to showcase the remoteness of Western Newfoundland and the beauty of some of the best trails.  With that, The Gros Morne Trail Race was began, emphasing having a good time with friends, running fun trails, and simply finishing.
