Sheila Poole (1962-1997), of Yarmouth, was a well-known and much-loved member of the running community. In dedication to a life well-lived, The Human Race 10K, held annually in Yarmouth, was renamed The Sheila Poole 10K in 1998 in memory of Sheila. This race is on the Run Nova Scotia Circuit and is part of the performance series.
