A late-season event in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, Marathon de Magog is a scenic small town event. The marathon is a double loop which takes participants around downtown Magog, and then on a scenic and occasionally hilly route through the surrounding countryside. Small town charm and fresh country air provide a nice alternative to the larger, big city events, and the overall atmosphere definitely creates a unique and memorable event.      

The Thunderwolves Indoor Marathon event features a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km Run /Walk, as well as a Marathon Relay. The full marathon is a 211-lap race and perfect weather is guaranteed for the entire duration! Proceeds from this event support children’s mental health education and prevention initiatives through Children’s Centre Foundation Thunder Bay. Haunted Hustle is an engaging and fun event in the City of Temiskaming Shores, geared towards people of all ages and experience levels. Participants are encouraged to run in costumes. Fee(s) $55-75; $120 (relay)

In one of North America’s quietest corners you’ll find a scenic, friendly and community supported event with a race distance for everyone. The marathon is challenging fully certified, chip timed, Boston qualifying. Beginning in the USA, the marathon course runs into New Brunswick. Participants enjoy rolling hills and spectacular scenery, a border crossing, and bald eagles, seals, sometimes whales may be seen from the course. Finisher’s medals are handcrafted by local artists. and tech tees are made locally in Maine…

The Cape Breton Fiddlers Marathon is located on the beautiful island of Cape Breton, along Sydney’s waterfront. Known for its “Giant Fiddle”, Sydney is full of vibrant, friendly runners who will welcome you with a smile. This flat, paved course runs along Sydney’s downtown waterfront and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifying race. Runners will be joined by some of Cape Breton’s talented musicians to provide encouragement along the way.      

All races including the half-marathon and (2-4 person) relays begin and end in Rotary Peace Park. The courses follow alongside or above the Yukon River. The trail is well worn and features significant elevation gain and loss so participants should expect an aerobic challenge. The routes are well-marked with trail markers and volunteers are posted at key points to keep everyone on track. After the races, post-race refreshments and festivities are enjoyed by all.  

Created by one of Québec’s best marathoners, Alain Bordeleau, this point-to-point, net downhill course attracts elite and amateur marathon runners from Canada and beyond with its promise of fast times. The course displays the picturesque diversity of the Laurentian forest as you run along the most beautiful bicycle path. The Marathon du P’tit Train du Nord offers  one of the most beautiful nature marathon course in the world!  

The Resurgo Marathon and Half Marathon are no frills, affordable races for the runners of the Greater Moncton area and beyond to test their endurance limits. These races will take place on the trails of Moncton, Riverview, and Dieppe.      

Barrington Passage, located on the South Western shore of Nova Scotia, is the lobster capital of Canada and also plays host to the Sea Me Run Nova Scotia Marathon. The certified and Boston qualifier course features rolling hills on country roads and is run as two large loops in a figure eight configuration which starts and finishes near the local arena. A virtual option is also available.    

First run in 1979, the Saskatchewan Marathon started as only a marathon, it has grown to include 2.2K, 5K, 10K,  and half-marathon distances, and the marathon is a Boston qualifier.  Throughout its history the Saskatchewan Marathon has made changes to its course and its calendar, but it always provides a flat, fast and scenic view of both the city of Saskatoon and the South Saskatchewan River.
