Each year the KRRA Race Series kicks off with the 8km Resolution Run. The route starts at the Royal Military College Arch and proceeds around the scenic peninsula, up Fort Henry Hill, then continues through Garrison Kingston to returns back down the hill and onto RMC grounds for the finish. The Forever Young 8K is an annual running event that promotes active senior living. The Howe Island 8K Hustle, is the first of three Island races known as the “Tri-Island Race Series” which also includes The Wolfe Island Classic 5K, and the Amherst Island Wooly Bully 10K. The Howe Island event consists of the 8K run for all ages and a Kids 1-Mile Race. The course is fairly flat and vehicular traffic is nearly non-existent so this race is great for newcomers to the sport as well as seasoned runners.  

The Sydenham Fall Trail Run is a picturesque 8km runs along the north shore of Sydenham Lake on the Cataraqui Trail. The course is relatively flat and fast with the exception of two small hills on the way out and two on the way back. The surface is a combination of 80% trail and 20% road.

Part of the Island Race Series, the Hatley Castle 8K has something for everyone. Run through the beautiful Hatley Castle National Historic Park grounds, the course is a mix of road and crushed gravel with some challenging but rewarding climbs. The Hatley Castle is hosted by Frontrunners.

The Steveston Ice Breaker 8K is a popular event to kick off the racing year.  This family-friendly 8K run/walk through the historical Steveston Village is scenic, flat and fast. All runners are encouraged to enjoy post-race festivities which include, awards, a health expo, refreshments, food, prizes and more.

This is one of the oldest continuous road running races in the province, with more than 35 years of racing. The course is fast and runs from the Mundy Pond area to Quidi Vidi Lake. It is a popular event as a tune up to the Tely 10 each summer.
