The Manotick Miler hosts a 10M, 5M, 3M and 1M Family run.  If you are looking for more bit more , try the 15 Miler challenge, run the 10 Miler and than the 5 Miler on race day. Enjoy the beautiful and scenic countryside of the Manotick village and the fun atmosphere at this increasing popular event. All participants are invited to the post-race tailgate party. This early season event has become a popular way to kick off the running and racing season. All races take place from the Eau Claire Market and follow an out-and-back style courses along the Bow River pathways. After the races, participants enjoy a pancake breakfast, awards and prizes. The annual slush run/walk is a 5 mile race.  The half way point turns around near the entrance to the Fortress of Louisbourg site, from there you trek back to the finish line. The weather can be an obstacle to overcome in this race, it’s a challenge to the heartiest of runners. After the race, warm up with a nice hot bowl of chili in the school auditorium. Fee(s) $10

The Frostbite River Run is part of the Riverview Winter Classic, a series of outdoor events held in January at the community center design to highlight the spirit of winter sports in the neighbourhood. The race route takes runners through Riverview along Churchill Drive onto the Red River Trail to the Forks and back. It is winter in Winnipeg, so dress for weather! The Heights Fiver is a point-to-point (loop) road race in the College Heights area of Prince George.  You choose the distance, either 5K or 5 Mile. The course offers a little bit of every, some climbing,a downhill stretch, and flat section to really test your speed. This event is the launch of the Prince George Road Runners (PGRR) race season.
