Race 4 in the Northern Alberta Race Series is at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area, a beautiful scenic park located North of Stony Plain. Chickakoo is a non-technical course on wide Nordic ski trails with plenty of hills! This course will push you to your aerobic max on it’s long sustained climbs. 5 Peaks races are known for their incredible staff and volunteers, abundant food, great swag, and commitment to sound environmental practices.

The Birds Hill Trail Series consists of three races is a held at Birds Hill Provincial Park. Hydration and food will only be available at the finish line. Racers are encouraged to carry their own water and other supplies they may need, throughout the race. Bring your own cup for after the race. The XTERRA Trail Run is an approximately 14K off road course consisting of 3 loops on dirt and gravel trails. There is a mixture of double track access roads, and narrow winding single track. There are some steep climbs and fast descents, and lots of rocky terrain. Each lap loops the Durrance Lake shoreline trail and the Partridge Hills trail system.
