The DBA Diamond Dash is a virtual event to raise money for research to find a cure for Diamond Blackfan Anemia. Gather your friends and family, select your own route and complete your walk or run anytime from August 1st to August 31st. Diamond Blackfan Anemia is a rare genetic blood disorder, characterized by severe chronic anemia due to complete or partial failure of the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. Laps Around Lymphoma
Laps Around Lymphoma is a fitness challenge to raise awareness of lymphoma and funds for lymphoma programs and resources. Participants are challenged to take 100,000 steps in honour of the 100,000 Canadians currently living with lymphoma. Set to the backdrop of beautiful Bracebridge Ontario, the Muskoka Marathon is a great day of racing. The course is paved, flat, and an ideal spot for a personal best or hitting that Boston qualifying standard. Expect beautiful full colours along the Muskoka River, great race-day energy, and a whole lot of camaraderie. Race options include: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K.
The 2023 Reconciliation Run will take place on September 30th. The run starts at the ruins of the former Birtle Residential School, and concludes on Birdtail Sioux Dakota Nation. Once all participants have made it back to Birdtail Sioux Dakota Nation, community members, volunteers, and participants are invited to a community gathering/feast.
