Klondike Trail of ’98 International Road Relay
First run in 1983, the Klondike Road Relay offers breath-taking scenery, team camaraderie, physical challenge and gracious northern hospitality. The 175km race, from Skagway to Whitehorse, commemorates the Gold Rush Stampeders who climbed the famous White Pass to the Yukon over 100 years ago. The 2023 Reconciliation Run will take place on September 30th. The run starts at the ruins of the former Birtle Residential School, and concludes on Birdtail Sioux Dakota Nation. Once all participants have made it back to Birdtail Sioux Dakota Nation, community members, volunteers, and participants are invited to a community gathering/feast.
