Smuggler’s Run Trail Race

The Smuggler’s Run Trail Race is a chance to explore an iconic trail travelled by mischievous Canadians smuggling rum into the United States during the Prohibition Era. Located at the beautiful Long Point Eco-Adventure resort, which sits upon an old “Rum Running” route, the race celebrates local history and the beautiful surrounding biosphere. The event includes scenic, yet challenging 6k, 12k or 18k distance options, plus a 1K Treasure Trail Dash for the kids. All runners receive a Smuggler’s Run finishers “Woodallions”, plus a complimentary glass of wine or beer, and a hearty brisket wrap (or Vegetarian Option) at the post race party. Travel down just for the run- or stay for the weekend and explore Ontario’s South Coast and enjoy the charm of the surrounding rural communities and the great beaches.
